Boko Haram attacks military base in Borno

Boko Haram terrorists have staged a fresh attack on a military base in Baga in the Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, a day after they invaded Gudumbali area in the Guzamala Local Government Area and sacked the residents.

The Nigerian Army on Sunday confirmed the terror attack on Gudumbali, saying that its combined troops of 82 Division Task Force Brigade and 158 Task Force Battalion repelled the attack and were restoring normalcy in the area.

Police discover 41 bodies in Zamfara

The Police said they have discovered the bodies of 41 persons it described as bandits terrorising villages in Zamfara State.

Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, disclosed this while briefing reporters on Wednesday in Gusau, the state capital.
